Why am I struggling to change?
Our spiritual condition affects the body.
1. Whatever battle you’re fighting, God is there.
2. The idea that anything in this world can give us something that God can’t always get us in trouble.
3. Participating in things that feed the flesh will always set us up for our sinful nature to become dominant.
4. When sinful nature becomes dominant, it becomes impossible to do the will of God.
Romans 8:5
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
5. This story is essential for us to understand how our spirituality or non-spirituality is connected to each other. If we believe that we are one body and, that in some way, we are connected in the body of Christ, then we must believe that your sin affects me as also my sin or relationship with God may affect you.
We see this theology through the Bible they call corporate personality theology.
Adams sin
Noah’s obedience

Jesus
If you are a single father or mother with children and are having a biblically incorrect relationship with a person of the opposite sex, your children will be aware of it and will have an effect on how they hear your council. They will lose a point of reference and it will affect their relationship with God.
6. When God allows victory in the midst of sin, our perception of God is changed. So, for God to keep His character holy, He cannot bless us is in the midst of sin.
7. It also teaches us that we are our brother’s keeper.
